Wizard Food is Different From Other Food

"I think it's high time all you magic wizards start understanding that wizards can be of other disciplines!" shouted the cook from their boiling pot in front of the Panda Express.

They winked at the new student mischeviously and tapped their spoon on the side of the cauldron.

"This here? Is food. I'm creating food where there was none! I'm a wizard too! A cooking wizard!" they shouted gleefully. The new student squinted.

"But only with ingredients, right? Whereas I can make myself float for no reason." the student then floated for no reason. The cook laughed.

"Some ingredients. But I make more than I take!" said the cook, splashing their spoon into the pot.

The student began to shuffle their feet as though they wanted to leave. It was in part because they wanted to leave. But also in no small part because they felt like they were supposed to want to leave.

"Do you mean like mass-wise?" asked the student suddenly. A baby started crying on the other side of the food court. The cook raised his eyebrows and smiled.

"Indeed I do," they replied. The student thought about this.

"Oh so you're actually doing magic on food?" they said. The cook threw up their arms.

"I've been cooking food!" they laughed, stirring the pot again. "I'm a wizard of cooking! You do magic, I cook!"

The student had to think for a long while about how to reply to that.
